Meet Grant Hardwick
I'm Grant Hardwick, a proud local of the Riverina and an independent candidate for the upcoming federal election. At 26, I’ve built my career as a Fitter and Turner by trade, a small business owner, and more recently a Snowy Valleys Councillor, all while staying deeply connected to the region I call home. I grew up in Tumut, where I attended high school before earning my trade qualifications at TAFE NSW in Wagga Wagga. My passion for storytelling led me to complete a Bachelor’s degree at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), and now alongside work, I run my own photography and videography business, Hardwick & Co. Productions.
I’ve seen and experienced firsthand the challenges our communities face- the cost of living crisis is real and it's getting out of hand. Whether it’s access to infrastructure, support for small businesses, or ensuring our regional voices are heard in Canberra. I believe in practical solutions, genuine leadership, and fighting for the future of the Riverina. This election isn’t about politics—it’s about people, communities, and representation. I’m ready to listen, work hard, and stand up for what matters to us all. Let’s build a stronger Riverina, together.
INCLUSIVE.
INTEGRITY.

Policies That Matter
As an independent, I will always prioritise the needs of Riverina residents over party politics. My focus is on real solutions that improve daily life—securing better infrastructure, access to quality education, and stronger advocacy for our farmers. Federal investment in roads, rail, and communication networks is essential to drive economic growth, enhance safety, and keep communities connected. Likewise, ensuring our students have access to quality education, from primary school to apprenticeships, will create a skilled local workforce and a stronger future for the region.
A thriving Riverina also depends on better healthcare, fairer water rights, and reliable telecommunications. Rural communities face doctor shortages, underfunded hospitals, and limited mental health support—issues that demand urgent investment. We must also bridge the digital divide by improving mobile coverage and broadband access, ensuring local businesses, farmers, and families stay connected. I will fight for policies that deliver lasting benefits, not political compromises.
